Mall Madness

The girls and I took a trip to the mall while mom was at MOPS. We started out by heading into Sears and looking at the Christmas decorations. Then we headed over to a game area where Kaitlyn always has the best luck. She hit the jackpot on one of the games which later equated to her getting some tinker bell lip gloss. We headed over and got some smoothies then went to Claire's to try and get Kaitlyns earrings out but failed at that. This was about the end of that trip.

Dental Madness

Took kaiters for her first Nitris high at the dentists office. Even under the effects of a partial Nitris dose she was still little ms wiggly pants and the doctor couldn't get all the work done. He did get through a couple teeth. We have another appointment on Nov. 8th.

Kaitlyn has a fever

Everyone had a real good day today. Kaitlyn had a good day before this evening when she started to run a fever. Poor little thing just laid down on the couch watched a couple of shows and then just crashed. She told us she's going to throw up tomorrow. Little nerd.

Air Force 1

Today I was the TRACON controller that worked Air Force 1 departing LAX's north complex (24L) on the LOOP6 Standard Instrument Departure. This event was the highlight of my controlling career so far (Only been controlling a couple years). Understandably it is not the most difficult process as we have TFR's (Temporary Flight Restrictions) all around the airspace so I really don't have to miss the airplane like I normally would with standard traffic. The TFR's encompass a descently large area, the one's in the closest proximity to the airport prevent all traffic besides commercial airlines from flying through. The TFR expanding a larger area out from there prevent anyone not talking to ATC, so no general aviaition not being controlled by us. For roughly 15 minutes before Obama's departure no planes departed whatsoever.
